MEDICAL STUDENTS CASH IN
Rural and remote medical students are being given a helping hand by the federal government.
Applications have opened for the Rural Australia Medical Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme.
The program will provide 115 new scholarships next year worth $10,000 each to help students with living costs.
The scheme also runs a mentorship program where scholars are paired with medical practitioners in rural areas.
