A Moree district man has been fined $4,000 after illegally shooting 104 kangaroos on a property near Garah.
It’s understood the man sold the meat to a Queensland meat processor after claiming the roos were killed north of the border.
The Department of Environment and Climate Change says several people have been charged for illegal shooting activity in recent months.
Farmers are being reminded that culling quotas are in place and shooting permits are mandatory.
