Students at Armidale’s University of New England are set to benefit from a plan to re-introduce compulsory student fees.
Member for New England, Tony Windsor, says it will secure the future of vital services on campus including child care, health care and sport and recreation facilities.
He says the announcement is well overdue after the Howard Government cut funding to the sector when it introduced voluntary student unionism.
