COFFS HARBOUR MAYOR ON STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BODY
Coffs Harbour Mayor Keith Rhoades has been elected to the State Executive of the New South Wales Local Government Association.
Councillor Rhoades was voted in at the association’s annual conference at Broken Hill yesterday.
The Coffs Mayor says having a representative on the policy making body will benefit all councils in the region.
Mr Rhoades has welcomed Premier Nathan Rees’ decision to re-open debate on rate pegging.
Previous Labor and Coalition governments have rejected any suggestion rate pegging might be abolished.
