There was one piece of news uniting club’s at the Central North AGM, with confirmation a Central North team will contest next year’s Rugby Union Country Championships.
Moree’s Dan Van Veltuizen will coach the senior side, which will be selected after clubs have nominated their best players.
The team’s first match will be against the Central West in Narrabri on Saturday the 21st of March.
The following weekend the side will contest the Caldwell Cup, which hasn’t been won by the Central North since 2001.
