A 28-year-old woman has been refused bail after being charged over the abduction of a baby girl in Armidale.
It’s alleged Kelly Maree Fenton, from Grafton, picked up the 4-month-old and her mother from a Morson Street home yesterday afternoon, before driving to a local swimming pool.
Upon entering the pool entrance gates, the 28-year-old allegedly returned to the car with the infant and drove off.
Her car was stopped by police at around 6.30 last night at Tyringham and she was charged with taking and detaining a child with intent to remove from parental control and intent to obtain advantage.
