POPULATION DECLINE BY 2036

It’s predicted the region’s population will decline by 2036, according to new research released by the state government.

The projections show the population in New South Wales will jump from 6.8-million to 9-million within the next 30 years.

While Sydney and coastal population growth is strong, some inland regions will see a decrease.

The figures suggest a drop of 12,000 residents for the northern area, while it’s predicted the north west population will dwindle by 16,000.
