Greens MP doctor John Kaye is calling on the state government to stop the proposal for an electricity transmission line between Bonshaw and Lismore.
The $227 million line would upgrade the North Coast’s electricity network, but cut through a wildlife corridor between Southern Queensland to Victoria.

Mr Kaye says North Coast residents will ultimately pay for the line that will increase the region’s carbon footprint.
He was in Lismore today, holding a carbon price forum.
