CENTRAL COAST’S BID TO HOST LIFESAVING CHAMPIONSHIPS REJECTED

The Central Coast has had its bid to host the national surf lifesaving championships rejected.
Surf Life Saving Australia has decided to hold the competition on the Gold Coast on a semi-permanent basis until 2022.
It says the Central Coast’s bid didn’t meet a number of specifications in the tender process.
No other bids were received.
The event would have injected more than $20-million into the local economy.
