WERRIS CREEK STEPS BACK IN TIME
Werris Creek Primary School celebrated its 125th birthday in style over the weekend.
Former students returned to the schoolyard for a trip down memory lane.
The school holds particularly special memories for New England MP, Tony Windsor.
Mr Windsor said “I started school in 1955 and actually one of the girls i was sitting next to in kindergarten i ended up marrying. So think about that kids if you’re sitting next to one of your school mates, just to have a look, you may end up with them.”
A time capsule with letters, videos and school memorabilia was buried for future students to discover.
