Avoca Beach surfer Adrian Buchan has climbed to seventh in the world rankings after finishing third in the Billabong Pro in Mundaka, Spain.
The 26-year-old was defeated in the semi-finals by fellow countryman Joel Parkinson, who finished runner-up in the event, to American CJ Hobgood.
