BAILEY RETURNS FROM INJURY
Titan’s co-captain Luke Bailey is expected to return from injury for the team’s last game of the season against Wests Tigers.
The front rower, who injured his ankle in Round 15, says he’s paid to play, and wants to end the season with a win.
“I think I managed nine games this year so it’s been a year I’d like to write off.” says Bailey.
Two weeks ago the screw in his ankle was removed, now Bailey’s up and running, and planning for a comeback.
Fitness tests will determine if that becomes a reality, but he’s pretty confident.
“At the moment I’d like to think myself probably 80% chance of playing so it’s going to take a lot to turn me off.”
The Titans gain Bailey, but have lost Josh Graham to injury, and Nathan Friend to suspension after he took on Manly giant Josh Perry.
Clint Amos will come in as hooker in his last game for the club, before heading north to the Cowboys next season.
Bailey says that’s another incentive for him to get back on the paddock.
“So it would be great to go out and play with them, especially blokes like Michael Hodgson who is leaving the club.”
