A motorcyle crash on Wyong Road has led to the evacuation of Mingara Recreation Centre.
The club’s grounds were needed so a helicopter could be flown in to transport a man seriously injured in the accident.
The 40-year-old suffered serious head injuries after coming off his bike at a roundabout.
He’s been taken to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital.
