Police believe a fire that tore through a Gold Coast primary school overnight may have been deliberately lit.
Five crews battled the blaze, which erupted at the Miami State Primary School in Mermaid Waters, just before 2.30am.
They managed to contain the flames to the demountable building, before it spread to other classrooms.
“A school’s been burnt down again in school holiday time again so I guess we need to be vigilant about who’s out and about at night time.”

i just graduated from that school this year i cant believe this who would do this to me primary school 🙁
Very sad day today after hearing about my little boys school.
It is a beautiful school, I just don’t understand why someone would do that. 🙁
