A driver has been seriously injured after his car ploughed into a home at Lake Macquarie.
It’s understood the man suffered a medical episode behind the wheel, just before the accident.
Emergency services were called to Park Royal Drive at Floraville just after 2 o’clock this afternoon.
The driver was trapped in the vehicle for some time, but was eventually rescued and treated at the scene.
The patient has been transported to John Hunter Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
