TRUCK FIRE CAUSES LONG DELAYS ON PACIFIC HIGHWAY

Motorists heading north on the Pacific Highway experienced lengthy delays today, after a truck caught fire near Hannam Vale Road at Moorland.
Emergency services were called to the incident just after one o’clock this afternoon.
Witnesses say the rear of the b-double burst into flames, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air… before firefighters extinguished the blaze.
One of the two northbound lanes was closed, causing traffic to bank up for more than two kilometres.
