Police are investigating the death of a man, whose body was found in a submerged car at East Maitland this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 10.30, amid reports a westbound car had left the New England Highway, gone through a fence and into Wallis Creek.
The man – aged in his 40s – was found in the submerged vehicle.
