PETITION TO SAVE NEWCASTLE’S BOGEY HOLE

Member for Newcastle Tim Crakanthorp has stepped up his campaign to have Newcastle’s Bogey Hole repaired, launching a petition today.
The popular swimming spot was closed in November, after the site’s surroundings were deemed unsafe.
“I’ve written to the minister numerous times. I’ve had the Shadow Minister up here twice. I’ve put this into parliament to get answers on and now if we get more than 10,000 signatures we can have it debated in parliament to try and get some action from this government.”
The petition will be shared across the Newcastle electorate over the next couple of weeks.
