I do not agree with the installation of the so called”Eco” barrier!!! Firstly it is no way “Eco” it is merely a construction made from plastic reinforced with metal pins and over 15 kilometres of wire!!! It is a huge risk to anyone in the water that it is supposedly there to protect! It will breakdown due to strong currents rips ocean swells and winds not to mention the extreme force in the wave action alone! When it breaks it becomes an even higher risk of death drowning or injury to surfers who it is supposedly there to protect! It is for this reason I strongly oppose the trial and the waste of over 1 million dollars of tax payers money being spent on this trial!
