MAN DIES IN HEAD-ON PACIFIC HIGHWAY CRASH

A man has died in a head-on crash on the Pacific Highway at Cooperabung, north of Port Macquarie.

He was driving south at around one o’clock this afternoon, when his van crossed into the path of an oncoming truck.

The male truck driver wasn’t injured, but was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

The accident caused lengthy delays on the highway, with only one lane open to traffic.
